My name is David Porter and I am a Landscape Architect (B.L.Arch. UNSW, Hons. 1) who is passionate about creating engaging and enduring public spaces that bring people together and remind them that while we are a unique species, we are intrinsically part of the natural world. I believe that thoughtful and rigorous design has the power to transform outdoor spaces and better connect them to their broader environmental and social context.

My approach is restrained with a preference to creatively apply simple and practical solutions to complex projects. I believe in designing landscapes that are not only functional but also beautiful and sustainable.

My portfolio of work over the past 18 years includes a wide range of projects, from playgrounds, skateparks and school settings to sea-walls, boardwalks and beach-front parks. I am experienced in working with clients from diverse backgrounds and sectors, and I am committed to delivering solutions that meet their specific needs and exceed their expectations.

I value collaboration and communication, working closely with my clients, consultants, and stakeholders throughout the design and construction process to ensure that everyone’s voice is heard and that the final product is of the highest quality.
